To work with an anointing salve is to invite the sacred into our everyday lives as well as in ritual or ceremonial settings. When we anoint, we bring a specific type of presence to the practice, one that is devotional and highly attuned to the medicines of the plants and elements being worked with not just on the physical body but spiritual as well. 
 
We combine solar oil infusions of Wild Rose Petals, Mugwort, Fir and Yarrow to create this potent Anointing Oil. This gorgeous medley of aromatics and medicines grow wild along the coast line, enchanting the senses and deepening our connection to the spirit of the plants and the ecosystem in which they grow in.  
 
Anoint yourself by taking several deep breaths and rubbing a small amount onto the forehead, temples, neck or wrists. Try anointing tools used in ritual or ceremony or any everyday object (like toothbrush, spatulas, keys etc) to invite communion with the sacred into our everyday tasks.
 
Sustainably harvested shells make for a unique and beautiful salve container for our high quality medicinal oils. Each shell has it's own personality and no two are the same. When the salve is finished, re-use the shell, place it in your garden or return it back to the beach.
 
Each shell holds about .5 oz of anointing oil. High quality salves and oils like these, especially when utilized as an intentional anointing oil, require you to use less while inherently holding more protection and medicinal potency.
